Terms & Conditions of Sale

Last updated: 12 October 2026

These terms govern every sale made through gleamori.shop. Please read them before you order. They do not affect your statutory rights, which are summarised in sections 8, 9 and 10 with links to the full pages. Our Legal Information page, Privacy Policy, Cookie Note, Shipping, Returns and Legal Guarantee pages form part of these terms.

1. Who we are

The seller is EIRATEXTIL – INDUSTRIA DE CONFECÇÕES, LDA, a Portuguese private limited company (sociedade por quotas).

  • Registered office (sede): Lugar do Eirado, 4480-250 Ferreiró, Vila do Conde, Portugal.
  • NIPC 502354267. This is our Portuguese legal person identification number and also our single commercial registration number.
  • Share capital: as stated in the company’s permanent commercial registration certificate (certidão permanente), available on request.
  • GLEAMORI is the brand under which we sell online at gleamori.shop.
  • Customer service: support@gleamori.shop, +351 913 650 284 (a Portuguese mobile number; international rates may apply), Monday to Friday 9:00–17:00 Lisbon time. We reply to emails within two business days.

The registered office is not a shop, warehouse or returns address. For returns, email us first and we will send you the return address.

2. Scope

These terms apply to orders placed by consumers through gleamori.shop. In these terms, a consumer is a natural person ordering for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession.

We publish these terms in English and in translations. Translations are provided so that you can read them in your own language. The contract between us is concluded in the language of your order, that is, the language version you used when placing it.

Products are sold for private, non-commercial use, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

3. Products and images

Materials

Our sewn pieces are made from cork fabric: a thin layer of cork bonded to a textile backing. Plain coasters and placemats are made from cork sheet. Bags and pouches have a rust-red woven textile lining. Zips, snaps, buckles and rings are metal. Every sewn piece has one line of rust-red topstitching, the “Red Line”.

The exact composition of the textile backing and lining is confirmed per production batch with our supplier and is available on request by email to support@gleamori.shop.

Tones and grain

Cork tones are Natural (honey tan), Smoked (dark espresso brown) and Moss (muted olive green). Cork is a natural material and the grain differs on every piece, so the piece you receive will not look exactly like the image.

Images

Product images and scenes are created to show each design. Colours can vary slightly between screens. Props shown in images — clothes, phones, cards, plates, glasses, food and plants — are not included. The images of the cork harvest and process on our home and About pages illustrate how cork is generally harvested and made into fabric; they do not show our own suppliers.

Care and safety

Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and air-dry away from direct heat and sunlight. Do not soak or machine-wash. Coasters and placemats are not trivets: do not put hot pans or dishes straight from the oven or stove on them. Full care instructions are on our Care page.

Our products are not toys. Keep small parts such as snaps, rings and zip pulls away from young children, and do not put straps or cords around a child’s neck. In line with product safety rules, the responsible economic operator is EIRATEXTIL – INDUSTRIA DE CONFECÇÕES, LDA at the address in section 1; you can contact us at support@gleamori.shop.

Cork is a natural material that is the bark of the cork oak. When it is stripped, the tree is not cut down and grows a new layer of bark; the same tree can be stripped again about nine years later.

4. Prices and taxes

Our base prices are in US dollars. Prices are shown in the currency of your delivery country, and every price is shown with its ISO currency code.

For deliveries within the European Union, prices include VAT (IVA). No extra tax is added at checkout.

For deliveries outside the EU (United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, United States and Canada), the price shown is the price you pay us. Import VAT, duties or carrier clearance fees of the destination country may be charged by the carrier on delivery and are payable by the recipient. If we know before dispatch that such charges apply, we tell you and you may cancel your order free of charge.

There are no promotions, no discount codes and no free delivery offer, and we use no countdowns. Sets are sold at one fixed set price.

The price that applies to your order is the price shown at the time you place it.

5. Ordering and contract formation

You order in these steps:

  1. Choose your products and add them to the cart.
  2. Go to checkout and enter your delivery details.
  3. Choose your delivery country and your payment method.
  4. Review your order, including prices, delivery charges and the total.
  5. Place the order by clicking the button that reads “Place order and pay”.

Before you place the order you can go back at any time and correct the details you have entered, or change or remove items from the cart. Please check the delivery address carefully; if you spot a mistake after ordering, contact us as soon as possible at support@gleamori.shop — we will do what we can before dispatch.

Your order is an offer to buy. The contract is concluded when we send you the order confirmation email. We store the text of the contract and send it to you by email with the order confirmation, so that you have it for your records.

6. Payment

The payment methods available to you are the ones shown at checkout. Card payments are processed by Stripe. PayPal may be offered when it is enabled.

Payment data is handled by PCI DSS certified payment providers over HTTPS. Card numbers are never stored on our servers.

The descriptor that appears on your bank or card statement is GLEAMORI.

You are charged for the order total shown at checkout, in the currency shown there. If we do not accept your order, we do not take payment; any amount already taken is refunded to the same payment method.

7. Delivery

We dispatch within 1 to 3 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding Portuguese public holidays). We send a dispatch email with a tracking number, and every order is tracked. Delivery times and the flat tracked rate for your destination are set out on our Shipping page.

If a delivery date was not agreed with you, we deliver within 30 days of your order at the latest, as required by Portuguese law. If we cannot deliver within that period, you may cancel the order and receive a full refund.

Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to you.

8. Right of withdrawal and returns

Voluntary 30-day return policy

For every customer worldwide, you may return unused items in their original condition within 30 days of delivery. Email support@gleamori.shop first and we will send you the return address. Full details are on our Returns page.

Statutory right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, or in the United Kingdom, you have 14 days from the day you — or a person you name who is not the carrier — receive the goods to withdraw from the contract, without giving any reason. This right comes from Portuguese law (Decreto-Lei n.º 24/2014) and is in addition to our voluntary 30-day policy.

  • You can withdraw electronically through the function at Withdraw from contract here, or by using the model withdrawal form, or simply by emailing us.
  • We refund all payments we have received from you, including the standard delivery cost, within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the same payment method you used.
  • We may withhold the refund until we have the goods back or you have given us proof that you sent them.
  • You send the goods back within 14 days of withdrawing, and you pay the direct cost of returning them, unless the item is faulty or we sent the wrong item.
  • You are liable only for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature and characteristics.
  • We inform you of your right of withdrawal before you order, so the withdrawal period is 14 days and is not extended.

Cancelling before dispatch

You may cancel your order free of charge before it is dispatched, by email or by using the withdrawal form.

9. Legal guarantee

New goods are covered by the Portuguese legal guarantee of conformity (garantia legal de conformidade, Decreto-Lei n.º 84/2021) for 3 years from delivery. A lack of conformity that appears within the first 2 years after delivery is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery, unless we prove otherwise.

  • Your remedies are, in the first place, repair or replacement; if that is not possible, you may ask for a price reduction or terminate the contract.
  • If a lack of conformity appears within 30 days of delivery, you may ask for an immediate replacement or terminate the contract (direito de rejeição).
  • We pay the cost of returning faulty items.
  • Consumers in other countries also keep the mandatory rights of their own country.

Normal wear — scuffs, softening of the cork surface, fading after long sun exposure — and damage caused by misuse are not a lack of conformity. There is no separate commercial warranty. More detail is on our Legal Guarantee page.

10. Complaints and dispute resolution

If something is wrong, contact us first at support@gleamori.shop or by phone; we reply within two business days.

Consumers in Portugal may also use the Electronic Complaints Book (Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico) at www.livroreclamacoes.pt/inicio. We answer entries there within 15 business days.

Alternative dispute resolution (Lei n.º 144/2015):

  • The competent consumer arbitration centre for our registered office is TRIAVE — Centro de Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo do Vale do Ave / Tribunal Arbitral, Rua Capitão Alfredo Guimarães, 1, 4800-019 Guimarães, Portugal, www.triave.pt, geral@triave.pt, +351 253 422 410.
  • Nationwide: CNIACC — Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo, www.cniacc.pt.
  • Consumers in other EU countries can get free help with cross-border disputes from the European Consumer Centres network (ECC-Net), through the European Consumer Centre in their country.
  • Supervisory authorities: Direção-Geral do Consumidor (DGC, www.consumidor.gov.pt) and ASAE (www.asae.gov.pt).
  • Danish consumers may also contact Center for Klageløsning, Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, www.forbrug.dk.

See our Complaints page for the full procedure.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Portuguese law. Your statutory consumer rights are never affected.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is otherwise limited to the amount you paid for the product concerned. We are not liable for damage caused by use that ignores the care and safety instructions in section 3, by misuse, or by normal wear.

We do not use terms that are unfair within the meaning of Decreto-Lei n.º 446/85.

12. Intellectual property

The GLEAMORI name, our product designs, product photography, texts and page layouts on gleamori.shop belong to us or are used with permission. You may view and use the site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, and print or save pages for your own records.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, sell or use our content commercially without our written permission.

13. Personal data

We are the data controller for the personal data you give us when ordering, contacting us or using the site. We process it under the EU GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and Portuguese law (Lei n.º 58/2019). You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability, and we reply to such requests within one month.

Our full Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, who receives it and how to complain to the supervisory authority (CNPD, Av. D. Carlos I, 134, 1.º, 1200-651 Lisboa, www.cnpd.pt). You may also complain to the authority in your own country.

14. Governing law and courts

Portuguese law governs the contract between us. This does not remove the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live, and nothing in these terms prevents you from bringing proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example when our services or the applicable law change. The version published at the time you place your order is the one that applies to that order.

These terms were last updated on 12 October 2026.

16. Contact
